FLU VACCINATIONS FOR YOUR WORKFORCE

Seasonal Flu is a highly contagious illness, which spreads through the air via sneezing and coughing.  Once in the workplace it is very easily spread.   Employees commonly take 7-14 days to return to work.  The cost of absence, and the impact this has on the smooth running of a business, are both considerable.

Unfortunately the NHS only provides the Influenza Vaccination to those considered at ‘high risk’ from the serious complications it can cause.  The large majority of the working population is therefore left unprotected.

We have been administering on-site flu vaccinations every autumn for the past 6 years.  Many of our current clients – companies, councils and schools, have used our service for several years.

One of our experienced Practice Nurses visits your premises at a date and time convenient to you, and administers vaccinations to your employees.   They bring all the necessary equipment with them, and have immediate telephone access to our GPs back in the surgery should a problem occur.  It takes just a few minutes for each employee, minimizing downtime, and can cost as little as £9 per employee! 

Our experience and expertise enables us to help with the organisational and logistical arrangements of your flu vaccination campaign.  We also help you promote the clinic(s) internally, and provide a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ document to distribute to employees, in order to ensure maximum uptake.  All we ask from you is a comfortable private room with two chairs, drinking water and easy access to a wash basin and telephone.
