Assessment of long term sick employees
The cost and inconvenience of employees on long term sick leave can have a major impact on a business, especially in a highly competitive market environment.
Research shows that employees who take long term sick leave are more likely to continue doing so throughout the remainder of their working lives. It is important for an employer to assess the reasons for the sickness and agree the way forward with the employee.
Our doctors can make an assessment of any employee. They can either visit our surgery, or we can visit them at your premises or at their home. A comprehensive consultation will be followed up with a report with our findings and recommendations.
Drug and alcohol testing
Drug and alcohol abuse is on the rise, and can be very costly and dangerous for employers. Sometimes the nature of a job means that random testing is necessary. Sometimes the behaviour of an individual can suggest the need for a test.
We can offer an ‘emergency’ service or a pre-arranged service, with attendance by one of our doctors or nurses.
We would come to your premises and test your employee(s) using a Chain of Custody sample. The nurse/doctor would witness the production of the urine sample, package it into a sealed envelope and ask the employee concerned to sign and date it. The sample would be couriered to a laboratory for testing.
The test results would be available and reported back within 24 hours of the testing.
