General Health Medicals
Annual medicals allow close monitoring and tracking of someone’s health, thereby identifying trends and possible causes for concern early on. They are also viewed as a major benefit by employees.
We offer various medicals to monitor general health and wellbeing, ranging from very basic checks to comprehensive medicals with reviews and screenings.
All medicals include a review of past and present health, lifestyle, height and weight measurements and a report with the results and recommendations.

Pre-Employment Medicals
Pre-employment medicals are sometimes required for legal or health and safety reasons. However medicals are also useful as a ‘peace of mind’ tool to ensure that the individual you are about to employ is fit and healthy.
We can offer pre-employment medicals as part of a recruitment initiative, or on a one-off basis. These can take place either in our surgery or at your premises.
Ill health retirement medicals
Sometimes a medical is required for insurance purposes when an employee is retiring early. We can also help you with this.
Occupational Health Surveillance & Screening
With Health and Safety legislation becoming more and more comprehensive, employers can find themselves overwhelmed with the requirements to ensure the wellbeing of their employees.
Different job roles bring with them specific health and safety requirements. Our nurses can come to your premises and screen a specific group of employees. They will record the results and report back to you soon after the visit. These records can then be attached to the personnel files as evidence that you have carried out your duties as a responsible employer. Annual monitoring further identifies any trends at an early stage, which enables both you and your employee to deal with any issues before it is too late.
Here is a range of screens our nurses are able to perform:
- Audiometric testing
- Vision testing
- Lung function testing
- Chemical/Toxic substance exposure
- Skin surveillance
The nurses are also able to take blood for testing, either on-site on in-surgery. Tests we are able to fulfil include:
- Hepatitis A and B antibodies
- HIV antibodies
- TB
- Rubella
