Patient advocacy and education One of the primary roles of nurses in general practice is patient advocacy and education. They serve as a bridge between patients, GP’s and other healthcare providers, offering guidance and support.

Chronic Disease Management Chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma require ongoing management and support. Our nurses, in collaboration with our GP team, will support the monitoring of patients with chronic conditions.

Wound Care Our nurses are proficient in wound care management and provide procedures such as wound dressing changes and suture removal. Their expertise not only expedites patient care but also enables our GP’s to focus on the management of the patient’s medical issues and concerns.

Health screening Our nurse team play a vital role in our health screening programmes and support the GP’s by providing vital information in determining a patient’s current health and influencing future health planning.

Minor Surgery Nurses ensure the smooth running of minor surgery clinics and provide comprehensive care to patients before, during, and after the procedure.

Cancer screening In collaboration with our GP’s, our nurses can facilitate screening for cancers such as cervical, breast, prostate and colorectal cancer.

Child Immunisations & health vaccinations Reviewing the patient’s vaccination history and recommending appropriate immunisations based on age, medical history, and current guidelines.

Referrals and follow-up Working with the Doctor Now GP team, our nurses will assist in arranging further evaluation, referrals to specialists and additional follow-up appointments as needed. They contribute to continuity of care and support the patient throughout their care journey.
