Reach Home Alarm Unit & Pendant
The Reach Home Alarm Unit brings together the most reliable electronics with cutting edge design and customer flexibility. The system offers fantastic features and benefits that substantially enhance the safety, security and well-being of customers. The benefits range from linking customers to a 24/7 support line where help can be summoned automatically or at the touch of a button. In addition to 32 sensors that can be linked to the system wirelessly it comes with a water-resistant pendant that can be worn around the neck or on the wrist. Calling for help is as simple as pressing the pendant, which can be used in the home or garden.
With this service:
- You’re linked to a 24/7 care line within seconds, ensuring a friendly, experienced operator can call for assistance straight away, and if necessary, provide reassurance through the device's loudspeaker until that help arrives.
- Your loved ones will be contacted immediately when required.
- Emergency services will be summoned if required.
- Your doctor can be contacted on your behalf when required.
- The call centre will pick up power cuts to your house, ensuring you or your loved ones are aware of the problem.
Bogus Caller Button
This device is usually wall mounted in the hallway alongside the front door where it can easily be pressed if the resident feels threatened or uneasy with a visitor. When used with the Reach Home Alarm Unit it will initiate a “silent” alarm call to the Control Centre, and enable the operators to listen to the conversation. They will then take appropriate actions depending on the circumstances. For example, the police may be called immediately.
Smoke Detector
This smoke detector functions like traditional smoke detectors. However, it is linked to the call centre through the Reach Home Alarm Unit and will raise an alert at the call centre. The call centre will attempt to speak to the resident first. However, to ensure clients' safety, operators have to contact the fire brigade within 60 seconds of receiving the alert. The call centre will cancel false alerts.
PIR Movement Detectors
PIR Movement Detectors are normally wall mounted at high level in the hallway or living room to monitor movement within the dwelling. These can be used for activity monitoring or intruder detection:
- Activity Mode: if no movement is detected within a preset period an "inactivity" alarm call will be transmitted.
- Intruder Mode: if movement is detected an "intruder" alarm call will be transmitted.
Pill Dispenser
This pill dispenser automatically dispenses medication at pre-set times, providing an audible alert to the user. If the user fails to access the medication, an alert is raised at the 24/7 monitoring centre, which will, in turn, call the user or a nominated person by the user.
This device can also be used on its own without a Reach Home Alarm Unit.
Fall Detector
Fall detectors automatically detect falls and alert the call centre through the Reach Home Alarm Unit. This device is recommended for those who may not be able to press their pendant due to various reasons.
Key Safe
The security of the C500 is the highest level ever awarded to a key safe in the UK, achieving LPS1175 level 1 accreditation, equal to a front door of the same standard. As a result of this security rating, the product has achieved police approval through the Secured by Design initiative.
The unit is usually installed outside the property in a secure hidden place to store spare keys for emergency access or access by carers. If it is purchased in conjunction with a Reach Home Alarm Unit the PIN can be passed to the 24/7 call centre, which will only be passed to the nominated people and emergency services.
The unit will eliminate the need for force break-in by emergency services if need be and also reduce the need to hide keys beneath doormats what some people do.
Bed Occupancy Sensors
Bed Occupancy sensors are linked to the call centre once installed with a Reach Home Alarm Unit. It raises an alert if the client leaves the bed and does not return in a pre-set time. This is recommended for those who tend to forget to wear their pendants when leaving the bed for any reason during the night.
Carbon Monoxide Detector
Carbon Monoxide Detectors are normally wall mounted above door height in rooms that contain a fuel-burning appliance. Do not fit in bathrooms, directly above cookers or in draughty areas. If a dangerous level of carbon monoxide is detected a local alarm will sound and an alarm call will be transmitted to the 24/7 call centre.
Gas & Carbon Monoxide Detector
Combined Gas & Carbon Monoxide Detectors should be wall mounted above door height in all rooms that contain a fuel-burning appliance. Do not fit in bathrooms, directly above cookers or in draughty areas. If a dangerous level of gas or carbon monoxide is detected a local alarm will sound and an alarm call will be transmitted.
Temperature Extreme Sensor
The Temperature Extreme Sensor is normally mounted in the hallway or living room away from any draughts or heat sources. This will provide early warning of extreme low or high household temperatures, which could result in the occupier suffering hypothermia or dehydration. In addition, the building will also be protected against potential fire hazards.
